    Wider forefoot than Common Projects

wider near the toebox than common projects which makes these more comforter out of the box for me. they look great and materials look like they'll last.

Best minimal sneaker for the money

I've been looking for a good minimal sneaker that doesn't sacrifice quality (materials or construction) in return for a good price point. After trying several other offerings, I think I've settled on Oliver Cabell's Low 1 as a permanent fixture in my wardrobe. The leather quality seems to be good: soft, pliable, doesn't need much breaking in (the tongue is a little stiff on my birch so it digs a little into my shin at first). The fit is tighter than I'm used to (I wear a 10.5 in chucks, the 11 in OC requires some lace loosening to accommodate a sock, but fortunately they also look great sans foot condom). I fully trust the soles to last me a decade or more if my previous margom soled sneakers are to be used as a benchmark. I was worried a bit about the branding (I prefer none) but the printing is so small and light that I don't pay attention to it. I've since ordered another colorway and have a few more I'm mulling over.

To sum up: they don't feel cheap like the cheapest sneakers (and probably most iconic) in the segment. They don't cost the premium for the most expensive sneakers in this segment (diminishing returns). They don't look as chunky as others and maintain a sleek, elegant aesthetic. I have and will continue to buy more.
