We Have a Secret to Admit — But It's Not Our Secret
What makes a premium shoe brand premium? Is it quality of design and materials or is it artificially inflated prices?
Before Oliver Cabell was born, our founder — Scott Gabrielson — visited a factory in Asia as a graduate student. There, he saw cramped female workers — earning $7 a day — gluing and sewing designer footwear. One pair of shoes, which the brand claimed to produce only in Italy, cost under $25 to make. It sold for over $400 just down the road.
This inspired the creation of Oliver Cabell, and our lofty goal of producing hand-crafted, European-made, and affordable premium shoes using old-school shoemaking methods seemed impossible.
Impossible not to us, but to the top brands that control 75% of the high-end fashion industry. To the brands that don't want to see a newcomer expose their unethical manufacturing and inflated prices.
We proved them wrong.
With us, you could buy two pairs of premium sneakers and boots for less than the cost of a single pair of shoes from another top brand — and still have enough left over for a haircut.
Other Brands are Jacking Up Prices Because They Can

Top shoe brands are selling shoes for +$400 when they cost $25 or less to make in cramped factories in Asia. How can they get away with this? Only a handful of fashion companies control 75% of the industry, meaning they can choose their own ridiculously high prices.
