Social Media Intern

We are looking for an energetic self-starter to join the marketing team for an unpaid 3 month internship. After 3 months, this hire will be evaluated as a paid hourly position. This role is an exciting opportunity to learn, grow, and develop valuable skills at a fast-growing direct-to-consumer brand in the luxury footwear industry.


What you’ll do:

  • This role will be at the front lines of our social media strategy helping execute on initiatives including planning social media content and guiding a larger social media strategy across channels.
  • Support the creative team in social media marketing; assisting in the planning, creating, and overall growth of our IG accounts.
  • Work will include planning initiatives to help opportunities assisting with facilitating posts, generating copy for social media, and various marketing projects.
  • Create creative and engaging organic content. 
  • Work closely with Oliver Cabell's marketing team by creating content, brainstorming ideas, and managing our online communities.
  • Keep your pulse on the latest TikTok and emerging platform trends and propose ideas.
  • Support influencer growth strategies, including managing a prospect pipeline, tracking complete campaigns, and fulfilling influencer orders for Youtube, Instagram, and TikTok. 
  • Play a vital role in continuing to grow Oliver Cabell's social media presence.

Requirements:

  • Pursuing or completed an undergraduate degree in marketing or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of social media and fashion industry trends
  • Have strong and clear written communication skills and an ability to capture brand voice, uphold grammatical and spelling standards, and maintain an upbeat tone.
  • Comfortable both behind and in front of the camera.
  • Experience and knowledge of influencer/creator marketing.
  • In-tune with social trends and an ability to respond to trends/memes to capitalize on opportunities.
  • A self-starting personality and can-do attitude.
  • An ability to problem-solve independently.
